Visit Massachusetts, a state famous for everything from the Red Sox and Paul Revere to Cheers and clam chowder. For a history lesson, walk the Freedom Trail in Boston, a well-preserved pedestrian path that weaves in and out of historic neighborhoods, from the lively Boston Common and Public Garden to the gold-domed State House and Fenway Park. Shop the fabulous stores on Newbury Street, have an authentic Italian meal in the North End, or browse the antique shops and distinctive red-brick buildings of Beacon Hill.

Boston is known for its world-class museums, theater and music venues. Family-friendly, Boston also boasts a renowned aquarium, children's museum and science museum, making it a great getaway for all. Cross the Charles River into Cambridge, home to two of America's most prestigious universities, Harvard and MIT. Start at Harvard Square and explore the alternative art and culture venues, vintage clothing shops, bookstores and ethnic restaurants. The route will take you past many important landmarks including the Mount Auburn Cemetery, Tory Row and the Longfellow National Historic Site.

For a truly unique vacation, take a ferry to Martha's Vineyard. This tiny island off Cape Cod remains one of the most popular and picturesque destinations in New England, with its stately Greek revival houses in Edgartown, and easy walks to the beach. Most visitors prefer to explore the island on a bicycle, scooter or tourist-friendly public buses.

Whatever your interests, there are numerous attractions that make The Bay State a must see vacation destination!
